Done For the Evening is an acoustic jazz trio, who's music has been described as "tuneful, accessible, modern jazz that still takes chances". Typically, jazz bands use a pianist or guitarist to play chords that guide soloists and the group as a whole. Done For The Evening has no chordal instrument, giving the band freedom and space to explore, yet offering no place to hide!
From the start, the band has focused on original tunes, giving everyone a clean slate to find new ways to approach their role in the band. Both Bryan and Frank are prolific composers. Their compositions range in styles from hard swinging post-bop, latin and jazz-funk to lyrical ballads.
